Appreciating and Collaborating with Faculty and Staff
Room Parent Sign up (2025-2026 Room Parent Sign-Up)
- Room Parent-Celebration: Celebrate your child's teacher, as well as the classroom assistant or one studio teacher, by collecting voluntary donations and surprising them with gifts, snacks, or meals all throughout the year.
- Room Parent-Room Duties: Help plan and facilitate volunteer opportunities in your child's classroom which may include parties, passing along information to parents from your teacher, and help your teacher in ways she/he needs.
Quarterly Potluck luncheons: A few grades will be working together to fulfill the sign up. Everyone who works in the building is invited
- Thursday, September 18th: Pre K, 3rd and 8th grade families
- Thursday, December 18th: K, 4th and 7th families
- Thursday, March 26th: 1st and 5th grade families
- Thursday, May 7th: 2nd and 6th grade families
Metcalf Appreciation Week: This will be the week of May 4th-8th and will include meals and treats. Everyone who works in the building is invited.
HILIA and Other student facing positions: Two luncheons will be provided to show appreciation to this specific staff, separate from classroom/core teachers because those positions do not have a room parent-celebration assigned to them.
